Multiplayer space battles

Play STARFALL with friends in your browser. Choose a one-on-one duel, a two-player team battle or a three-player team battle. Multiplayer is in beta and uses private room codes; there is no public matchmaking queue.

Create or join a room

1. Open the game and choose Multiplayer.
2. Enter a nickname, choose 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3, and create a room.
3. Share the room code privately with your friends. They can enter it using Join room.
4. Choose your teams and select Ready up. The host can start when all slots are filled and every player is ready.

A 1v1 needs two players, 2v2 needs four and 3v3 needs six. Keep both teams balanced. Use a nickname instead of personal information.

Controls on computer

Move with WASD or the arrow keys, aim with your mouse and hold the mouse button to shoot. Hold Space to boost while you have fuel.

Controls on phones and tablets

Touch and drag the battlefield to move. While touching, your ship aims and fires toward the closest opponent. Hold the Boost button to move faster. Use cover and change direction to avoid incoming shots.

Win the match

After a short countdown, each match lasts three minutes. Destroy opponents to earn points for your team. The team with the higher score wins; equal scores are a draw. Unlike solo survival, you respawn after three seconds and briefly gain protection.

Weapons and cover

Asteroids provide cover. Pick up rapid-fire or spread weapons to change your attack. Manage your boost fuel so you can escape a dangerous angle or close the distance with an opponent.

Rematches and connection problems

After a match, the host can set up a rematch. If the host leaves, another connected player becomes host. Rooms are temporary and are removed when empty, after the room lifetime expires, or if the server restarts. If a code no longer works, create a new room.
